It’s been 20 years for Ajith in Kollywood as of August 3, 2012 and time has got the best out of him. Starting with hits like Vaali, Mugavari , Dheena , Villain, Varalaru , Billa he enjoys a top spot in Kollywood, running into his early 40’s. His Mankatha turned out to be 2011’s biggest blockbuster release, so much so, that the film was re-run at the fag end of the year, due to lack of decent crowd pullers at the halls. Ajith has always considered his family (wife Shalini and baby Anushka) first and unlike his contemporaries doesn’t believe in pompous display or marketing gimmicks. He had boldly gone ahead and called off his fan associations and clubs, something no top Kollywood actor dares to do. For that matter, he seldom attends audio launches of his own films and believes that his fans paying tickets and coming to the halls, is more than enough. Now running Billa 2, scripted another success story for Ajith, becoming the top grosser at the Malaysian box office, standing over Shankar-Vijay’s blockbuster hit Nanban.
