Chidambaram to head the finance ministry

P Chidambaram became the Union Finance Minister today. He returned to the position after four years, from being the Home Minister, to stabilize the falling economy. Chidambaram is known for the bold decisions he took during his previous tenure as the Finance Minister.

He is returning during an important stage, where India is struggling at a growth rate of a mere 6.5%. Shivraj Patil has replaced Chidambaram as the Home Minister.
